Heni Nutritional Index
Heni is a nutritional index developed by researchers at the University of Michigan. They created a new metric that converted consumed foods into healthy minutes of life lost or gained. Our team was created to move this metric to market. Our stakeholders were nutritionists and academic researchers. Our team spent 3 months in researching and testing and in the end we presented to the client two clear paths forward. The first was to use their metric to calculate how much healthy food was given to a community by a food bank to measure impact. Another market was to partner with a wellness application to encourage better eating habits.
