The Gupta Family Hackathon

The Gupta family hosted a hackathon at the University of Michigan and invited healthcare professionals, designers, and developers to spend a weekend identifying and prototyping solutions to major healthcare communication challenges. Our solution was to expand on the sharecare application which authorizes sharing of health electronic records. We identified that their app accessible experience was not optimal and we advised that it was critical for their application to be accessible and easy to use. We demonstrated how that might work if the app acknowledged and offered accessibility assistance prior to setting up an account.
