Assemble

This was a speculative design project with one other communication design student. We used lateral thinking methodology as way to explore how civilian and police interactions could become less violent and more transparent.

This approach to exploring the project allowed it to remain ongoing resulting in several unique solutions. This is just one example that is being presented.

Lessons Learned:

This system was interesting because it explored the possibility of paradoxical thinking and was an attempt to create open dialog between police and local residents. After receiving feedback from several focus groups we realized how challenging it would be to design for democracy.
